All our crew members are skilled and knowledgeable in deep see fishing off the coast of Kauai. Captain Grant’s experience with boats started at very young age and he has fished and dived all around the world. Most of our crew members are also licensed captains, providing additional backup and support aboard Willin’. Both crew and captain are fully trained in CPR and First Aide.

Our fishing vessel “Willin’” is new to our operations as of summer 2023. Willin’ is a 31’ Bertram Flybridge Cruiser that has been completely overhauled providing our guests a truly one-of-a-kind fishing experience. This fishing boat is known as one of the best strike boats around the globe. Our boat is extremely seaworthy and known for getting anglers out to the fishing grounds and back home safely.

Kauai Hawaii Fishing Charters

Kauai is situated in the middle of the Pacific Ocean where the water reaches great depths within minutes of leaving the harbor, so we are a short boat ride away from most of the fishing grounds. Our fishing guests can expect to be fishing in well over 6,000 ft of water within the first hour of the fishing charter. We will be fishing off the leeward side of the island which gives us the best opportunity for fishing calmer waters. Blue Water Fishing Kauai provides all the rods, reels, tackle, ice, water, soda, and cooler space.

There’s opportunity year-round for great fishing. Spring fishing in Kauai starts to bring in bigger fish with warmer waters and an early marlin run is possible. We start to fish with larger tackle during the spring months. Summer fishing is the best time of year for targeting large pelagic fish offshore from Kauai with possible catches of tuna, marlin, mahi-mahi, and ono. Fall fishing is good and we begin to utilize lighter tackle however there are still great opportunities to catch large pelagic fish. Winter fishing is more focused on nearshore fishing with baiting and jigging. The fishing tends to be slower, but we have seen some of the largest tuna and marlins caught around the holidays, so anything is possible.
